If you know me, you know I love the fall season. In my opinion, it's the most fashionable time of year. I love everything about it, the falling leaves, warm apple cider, and boots - ankle boots, lace-up boots, thigh-high boots, you name it! However, I do tend to miss bright colors during the fall. I know we all get drawn to the cozy browns and greys as the weather gets a bit chillier, but I absolutely love incorporating bright colors into my fall wardrobe. I recently collaborated with a leading plus size clothing brand, Eloquii, to share a few tips on "how to wear color from head to toe." Today, I'll be sharing my top three reasons you should be wearing color this fall, and if you dare to rock a monochrome look this season, then check out my guest post on the Eloquii blog to see how I styled the three looks below.
1. STAND OUT
Be that pop of color in a sea of grey and black this fall. Break your routine by wearing a bright color, like this Emerald green ensemble from Eloquii. If green is not your color, stand out from the crowd with other striking hues like yellow, red, or even a hot pink shade. Try it at least once, and if you like it...try it again!
2. FEEL GOOD
Can wearing bright colors really improve your mood? Well the experts say yes! A Vogue editor did some research, and according to Color Therapy Experts, Constance Hart, “Color has an effect on our psyche, it’s always affecting us whether we are aware of it or not.” When picking out your fall looks, don't forget about your favorite hues. Reach for those bright colors you love but only tend to wear in the spring/summer. My go-to feel-good color is red. Whats's your go-to color? Tweet me @fashiononacurve.
3. NO LIMITS
By wearing bright colors this season, you get to expand your fall wardrobe. Mix in colorful pieces that you would traditionally store away until springtime, so there are no limits to your wardrobe. For me, the time-honored tradition of retiring white clothes after labor day does not apply to this modern age. The fall season is the perfect time to try out an all white look. You get to play with textures and layers, which makes styling a look like this even more fun.
