One of my favorite trends this fall season is men's fashion for women. Broad shoulders, hard collared shirts, plaid suits, there are just so many great options for fall. As Elle magazine plainly put it, “You’re not borrowing from the boys this season, but from the men. Grandpas, to be exact.” Either way, I’m excited to take a break from frills and skin-tight pieces for a bit. Make no mistake, I live for a good bodycon dress.
If you don’t have a man, no worries, you don’t actually need one to pull off this trend or at all in life LOL. There are a few ways you can shop the menswear trend - 1. Your favorite women’s clothing brands are adopting the trend already, so hit up your favorite stores or online retailers. I share a few options below. 2. Visit your local thrift store to score classic vintage men’s clothing for super cheap 3. Steal it or ask to borrow from your boyfriend, dad, grandpa, uncle, friend, girlfriend who wears men's clothing, whoever. Just have fun with it! Below are two of my favorite menswear pieces that you can easily incorporate into your wardrobe this fall.
Oversized Blazers - I snagged this piece from a local thrift store for $12. I’m also a huge fan of the “no pants” trend, so I created the illusion by pairing my blazer with super short shorts. I completed the look with a stylish double buckle belt, trendy lace-up booties from Torrid, and my QuayXDesi sunnies.
