As many of you know, I am Nigerian. I was born in California, grew up in Lagos Nigeria, and came back to the states to start college. Can you believe I haven't been back home in 10 years?!!!! Well, it'll be exactly 10 years in July. My mum recently took a trip, and I begged her to bring me fabrics, and clothes made by local tailors. This is one of the outfits she had made for me. Traditionally, this style is worn by men, but more recently, style innovators have introduced it to women's fashion. It is comfortable, but still stylish. I also got a few yards of various Ankara fabrics, and I'm still contemplating what to make with them. Let me know if you would like to see a tutorial on how I sew my styles. My shoes are from Torrid (shop similar here), and the clutch is Prada. Make sure to look out for my "styling basics" post later in the week.
